About the book: 2021 / The peculiarity of the book is that the authors tried to get away from the usual division of antiquity into separate parts that are still familiar from school times - the history of ancient Greece and the history of ancient Rome. They synchronized the processes of their development, political and cultural phenomena, showed their deep interaction and interpenetration and thereby revealed the essential unity of the ancient world. The reader will be helped to better understand the ancient world in its specifics and everyday life by fragments of historical sources at the end of each chapter and the final section of the book, containing explanations of Greek and Latin terminology and various tables.
