About the book: 2014 / The new collection of Israeli poet Viktor Golkov includes poems mainly from recent years, but there are also relatively older works written in Moldova. The main theme of the book is the tension and danger of life in modern Israel. Against this background, it is as if the ability of a person from another world (the former USSR) to fully and harmoniously fit into it is analyzed. Moreover, the answer is not always positive. The poetry of Viktor Golkov is characterized by dark, and sometimes downright black, tones and shades. They were also visible in his previous books, but in this latest one, one might say, they occupy a dominant position. Nevertheless, the artistic level of the book is quite high, and the bitter and cruel truth contained in it is unlikely to leave an attentive reader indifferent.
