The collection “WE ARE THERE AND HERE” continues the exploration of the deepest details of emigrant life. The author tries to find out what pleased and disappointed the interlocutor here, whether his career was a success and, if not, then why; what family, love, intimate relationships look like in emigration. In most essays, the author retains the names of his interlocutors, but sometimes the sphere of the hero’s life turns out to be too personal and then the names are replaced by pseudonyms. But not often. The value of the book lies not only in the enormous authentic materials collected by Popovsky, but also in the calm objectivity with which the joys and sorrows of our existence are narrated..
