About the book: 1978 / Probably written in the Bukovets hunting estate in 1944–1945. Recalling this time, Stanev said: “In 1944, of my own free will, I went to the mountains to restore a large hunting estate, where there were still deer... Sent there by the Union of Hunters and Fishermen, I spent a wonderful year there.” The story includes elements the story “Spring Passions” (see Vol. I of this edition). For the first time - in the book “Wild Bird. Foker" (Sofia, 1946), which was awarded a prize from the Ministry of Public Education. Having undergone several editions, the story in its final form was published in E. Stanev’s book “The Tale of the Forest” (“The Mountain Will Blow.” Sofia, 1968).
