MediaDB / «The Crisis of Liberalism" Gunter Rohrmoser: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1996 / Translation of a book that was just published in Germany and had a great resonance. The author, a prominent representative of conservative political philosophy, a professor at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, warns about the danger of one-sided liberalism, which claims to independently solve all problems and leads society to a dead end. The author sees a way out of the crisis of liberalism in the revival of classical liberalism and in its indispensable interaction with new, democratic conservatism. The book is addressed not only to German, but also to Russian readers. Knowledge of the real possibilities of liberalism, its boundaries, as well as what problems in society liberalism is not capable of solving by its very nature, will help the Russian reader to better understand the current situation in the country and in the world from the standpoint of political realism. This publication was produced with the financial support of the Society for Cultural Sciences (Bietigheim/Baden), Germany.
