About the book: 1981 / Khizmet Abdullin is one of the prominent Uyghur Soviet writers who has clearly distinguished himself over the last decade. He created books of novels and short stories - “Knots”, “Eagles on the Top”, “The Indomitable Tambourine”, the novels “Under the Sky of Turfan”, “Countrymen”, several collections of poems and poems. The proposed book includes the novel “Under the Sky of Turfan” and a series of stories. These works provide an artistic, realistic reflection of the history of the liberation movement of the Uyghur people, their participation in the revolution and the Great Patriotic War. The action of the novel “Under the Sky of Turfan” takes place in China, in its national outskirts. The author exposes manifestations of Great Han chauvinism and the belittlement of the national dignity of the “small” peoples of China.
