About the book: 1986 / Passion for chemistry usually begins with experiments. There are many useful, instructive and simply beautiful experiments that are quite suitable for young chemists. These are the experiences you will find in this book. Most of them were described earlier in the magazine “Chemistry and Life”, in the section “Young Chemist Club”. The experiments were selected in such a way as to interest young readers, show them the attractiveness of chemical science and at the same time instill in them the skills of independent work. The title of the book was not chosen by chance: all the proposed experiments, if carried out according to the description, are safe. In this second edition (the first was published in 1978), the advice and wishes of readers were taken into account: some chapters were clarified and expanded, several new chapters were added, difficult-to-reproduce experiments were simplified or completely excluded. The book is intended mainly for schoolchildren, but it can be useful and teachers, especially in extracurricular activities.
