About the book: 1998 / The book "Attack aircraft and fighter-bombers" provides information about the main aircraft of these classes, created in the 1950-1990s . Unfortunately, the volume of the publication did not allow us to include information about modern multirole fighters. Separately, we will talk about naval attack aircraft (an exception is made only for the American A-4 and A-7 aircraft, which largely made their “career” as “land” attack aircraft). In the book by V.E. Ilyin and I.V. Kudishin “Military transport aircraft” is supposed to describe fire support aircraft of the “Ganship” type. Some fighter-bombers (F-100, F-111, Hunter, MiG-17 and others) were described in sufficient detail in the books “Fighters” and “Bombers” by V.E. Ilyin and M.A. Levin, therefore, in order to avoid repetitions, they were not included in this publication.
