About the book: 1973 / The book provides an analysis of the worldview of the great Arab thinker of the 12th century. Ibn Rushd (also known by the Latinized name Averroes), whose work marked the pinnacle of philosophical thought in the Muslim Middle Ages and had a great influence on the development of Western European philosophy in the 13th–16th centuries. In the “Appendix” there is a translation from the Arabic treatise of Ibn Rushd on the relationship between religion and philosophy.
