Zabirko is so attracted to scientific issues that he ended his novel “Paradise Under the Hood” (2004) about the “humanitarian invasion” of aliens from the multidimensional Universe with an interesting theoretical bonus appendix called “Topological Theory of the Structure of Atoms,” which gives an idea of ​​​​the multidimensionality of space and explains many previously unexplained facts (in particular, the periodicity of the system of elements, the existence of stable and unstable isotopes, the phenomenon of magnetism, etc.). Unfortunately, Zabirko still remains an insufficiently appreciated writer, and yet he is the author of a classic example of SF - the author's collection "The Coming of Civilization" (1995), the wonderful picaresque novel "All the Bullets Missed" (1998), the ironic thriller "Too Many Ghosts" ( 2002), the fantastic action film "Operation Quarantine" (2002), the novel "Travel Notes of an Esthete-Entomologist (2003), the title of which clearly warns the reader that under the cover of the book is the same good SF that the author tries not to change.
