About the book: 1883 / This trip actually dates back to 1876. However, over the past seven years, on the banks of the Nile and the Suez Canal, nothing has changed from what is described here: the proposed sketches do not touch on political or economic issues, but relate exclusively to the travel impressions of a tourist who has seen what has been seen, is being seen, and will forever be look around in Egypt. These sketches appeared at different times on the pages of the Russian Bulletin. In this book, some tedious details - mostly archaeological - are transferred from the text to notes.
