About the book: 1989 / Since the early 70s, the famous GDR writer Eric Neutsch has been working on a series of novels "Peace in the East", which should recreate the path of the republic from the first post-war years to the present day. In the novel “When the Lights Go Out,” the action develops in a turning point and dramatic period of the late 50s.
