About the book: year / Novel “My Light” (in 4 books) - artistic memoirs and reflections on real events of the 20th century in Russia, in destinies ordinary heroes. That century was great for the actions of compatriots. They learned the NEP, collectivization, lived during the war years of 1941–1945, during perestroika and the destruction of the state itself - deep viscous ruts and scars... But the heroes lived, loving, both in besieged Leningrad, fought with the enemy, and in Stalingrad. And in Rzhev, occupied by the Nazis, 220 kilometers from Moscow... It was the Rzhev boy who would read Stalin’s November speech to a German officer, published in the Pravda newspaper and dropped by our plane on November 8, 1941 as a leaflet... And upon liberation, he would end up in a military unit and together with her he will travel across Poland to Berlin, where he will make two drawings. And another hero, a scout of the Danube flotilla, landed with troops near Kerch, near Odessa; he was wounded by Vlasov in Budapest, then ended up in a hospital in Belgrade. Erroneously, as if he were dead, a tombstone was placed near the Danube. The third fellow lost his arm near Narva. The fourth is a radio operator... But, of course, in the book I put in first place the feat of the heroines - our mothers and sisters. In the post-war period, my heroes, in whom - in none of them - there is any fiction or false pathos, studied and worked, loved and became friends. Someone became an artist. Yes, however, the author is not so much concerned about the military theme in this novel. Some events are fleeting, while others are unclear when they began and when they will end; you can’t suddenly reject them, they are still going on now. Just like the terrible civil strife in Ukraine. Sadly.
