Gogol’s poem “Dead Souls” and the criminal law of the Russian Empire of the 19th century”, etc. The author made an attempt to look at the creative biography of Vladimir Mayakovsky, according to J.V. Stalin - “ the best, most talented poet of our Soviet era,” and to the events that he witnessed or was a direct participant in one way or another, through the prism of Soviet legislation of the period 1917–1930, to analyze his personal attitude to the ideas of “permanent revolution” and attempts to conquer Poland , the first political trials, the NEP, the formation of the “new nobility” in the form of the party and Soviet nomenclature, the sexual emancipation of the broad masses and the epidemic of suicides among yesterday’s heroes of the Civil War in the 20s of the last century. A special place in the book is given to the problems of protecting copyright and related rights of Russian writers who were in exile after 1917.
