About the book: 2003 / Boris Andreevich Pilnyak (1894–1938) - famous Russian writer of the 20–30s of the XX century, the founder of one of the avant-garde movements in literature. During the years of repression he was shot. The proposed Collected Works of the writer is the first, after decades of ban, multi-volume edition of his legacy, which includes, basically, all of the author’s works, restored from deletions and distortions. The second volume of the Collected Works includes the novel “Machines and Wolves”, novellas and short stories.
