About the book: year / On March 1, 1883, the Indian Mirror newspaper published a letter to the editor: "Sir, since Colonel Olcott, President and founder of the Theosophical Society, will accept no reward, just as he does not want to accept gratitude for the work he took upon himself in order to heal my grandson... so as not to be branded ungrateful, I ask you to express my gratitude to him for everything publicly.” Olcott described several cases from the practice of mesmeric healing in his book “Leaves of an Old Diary”, a fragment of which is offered to the reader’s attention along with an article about the Count of Saint-Germain and H.P. Blavatsky.
