About the book: 2024 / In the biographical book “To Love and Dream”, Satire Theater actress Vera Vasilyeva (1925–2023) sincerely shares her thoughts and feelings for Many thanks to fate. While still a student at the theater school, she starred in the film “The Tale of the Siberian Land” and instantly became famous, and then played in the play “Dowry Wedding” and shone on the theater stage. She worked with wonderful directors and actors, including Ivan Pyryev, Erast Garin, Boris Ravenskikh, Valentin Pluchek, Andrei Mironov, Anatoly Papanov, Georgy Menglet, Olga Aroseva, Nina Arkhipova, Alexander Shirvindt, Elena Obraztsova. Her roles in the plays “Crazy Day, or The Marriage of Figaro”, “The Inspector General”, “Ornifle”, “Talents and Admirers”, “Molière”, “Fatal Attraction”, “The Queen of Spades” and many others were forever loved by the audience. She always amazed with her beauty, grace, youthful enthusiasm and amazing love of life. Vera Vasilyeva appeared on stage for exactly 75 years. All these years she delighted us, her viewers, and returned home with constant bouquets of flowers. Before leaving us forever, the actress managed to finish the last chapter of her book, each edition of which she always supplemented.
