The first complete Russian translation of the socio-political treatise of the French thinker and the poet Etienne de La Boesie (1530-1563). Excerpts from the treatise were published in his translation by L.N. Tolstoy in “The Reading Circle” (1906) and in the brochure “Patriotism and Government” (1906). Translation and comments by F.A.
