For more than three decades he has been studying Latin American countries, regularly writes about them, and acts as a translator of Latin American literature. His translation of “The History of the Inca State” by the outstanding writer and thinker of the 16th–17th centuries Inca Garcilaso de la Vega received a Diploma of Honor at VDNKh in 1975.
