About the book: year / Born in Cockermound (Cumberland) in the family of a lawyer. I was left without parents early. Studied at Cambridge. Lived in France and Italy. Returning to London, he published his first book of poems (1793). Together with Coleridge, he published “Lyrical Ballads” (1798). In the preface to the second edition of this book (also written together with Coleridge), he outlined the aesthetic program of the “Lake School”. He wrote poems, odes, dramas, prose. Received the title of Poet Laureate (1843) Wrote 535 sonnets (1802–1846))
