MediaDB / «Kolyma notebooks" Varlam Shalamov: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1998 / In his confessional prose, Varlam Shalamov (1907–1982) denies the need for suffering. The writer is convinced that in the center of suffering - in the Kolyma camps - it is not purification that occurs, but the corruption of human souls. In his poetry, Shalamov glorifies the spiritual strength of a person who is able, even in the terrible conditions of a camp, to think about love and fidelity, about history and art. This is the ringing lyricism of an unbroken soul, in which images of the harsh northern nature and the tragic fate of the poet are fused. The book “Kolyma Notebooks” was published by Eksmo Publishing House in 2007.
