About the book: 2022 / Fifty years ago the Third World War ended. One of the most populous cities of the pre-war era is now in ruins, which contain many “echoes of war.” The local American population has left the city. Now its inhabitants are soldiers and sailors of the Russian army, as well as their descendants who were born here and simply do not know another, peaceful life. Three Russian settlements in the city limits of New York, like three different Worlds - one on the shore of the harbor; the other is in the thickets of the private sector; and the third - among the remains of Long Island skyscrapers. And all three are surrounded by a dead city, which in turn is inhabited by aggressive gangs of American youth, cowboys of the new era - marauders. Anya and her friends love adventure and constantly disappear in the city, for which she is often punished by her parents. She is not afraid of shells scattered everywhere, nor of looters, because she is always accompanied by her beloved pet wolf, Wolf, who can smell any American a mile away and detect a mine among the ruins. On one of these walks, Anya finds a miraculously preserved newspaper, from which she learns that a few days before the arrival of a gigantic tsunami wave, which stopped all hostilities here, ending the war in this particular city, a huge, most the largest ship in the world, the crown of triumph of brilliant engineering, the flagship of the fleet of the Russian Empire, the super-battleship "Thunderer Perun". The ship can become a salvation for the settlements of Russian people. And Anya rushes into her next dangerous adventure to find the ship.
