About the book: 2004 / The collection was prepared in connection with the 40th anniversary of the group for structural-typological study of languages ​​at the Institute of Linguistic Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the 95th anniversary of the birth of the group’s founder, prof. A. A. Kholodovich. The articles included in the collection are devoted to the following issues: the theory of diathesis and voices, problems of syntax of differently structured languages, problems of grammatical theory. The topics of the articles reflect the range of scientific problems that were the focus of attention of A. A. Kholodovich, his students, followers and all Russian and foreign linguists who associate themselves with the tradition of the St. Petersburg typological school. The articles were prepared by the authors based on reports given at the international anniversary conference “Verb Categories and Sentence Structure”, which was held at the Institute of Linguistic Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences in May 2001.
