Optician, mechanic, builder, Kulibin sought to benefit the people with his inventions. And the royal court turned everything he created into toys, into fun. This was the tragedy of the inventor. This story was written about Kulibin’s victories in labor and his defeats in the struggle for the right to improve and make people’s lives easier, about his friends and enemies, about his faith in his work and in the bright future of the people.
