  • MediaDB / «Meetings on Rue Dankirk" Andrey Lebedev, Evgeny Ternovsky: download fb2, read online

About the book: year / The idea for this book-interview arose in 2008. Our meetings took place in the apartment of Evgeniy Samoilovich Ternovsky; it is located in a house on a Parisian street named after the northern French city of Dankirk. The title of the book is a tribute to the hospitality of my interlocutor, the generosity and patience with which he answered my questions. By inviting him to a conversation, I sought to penetrate deeper into the creative worlds of Ternovsky the writer, and to better acquaint Russian readers with his works. I was extremely interested in his personal life experience - the Soviet Union, emigration, Western Europe, meetings with people who largely determined the cultural landscape of those “times and places”, be it the Moscow intelligentsia of the late 1950s - early 1970s, and then the Russian diaspora in Paris, the German and French circles of Slavists. The final part of the book, which is still in progress and therefore not included in this publication, will be devoted to Ternovsky’s French novels.
