About the book: 2020 / Vera Kimovna Zubareva - poetess, philologist. She defended her doctoral dissertation on Russian literature and currently teaches at the University of Pennsylvania (USA). Author of 12 books, including poetry, prose and literary criticism. The first book of poems, “Aura,” was published with a foreword by Bella Akhmadulina (Philadelphia, 1991). The book “Treatise on Angels” went through several editions and was published in the USA (Livingston Press, 2002), Ukraine (Russian Book, 1995) and Switzerland (Pano Verlog, 2003), including translations (with drawings by Ernst Neizvestny). Excerpts from it were published in American and Western European literary magazines in the original and translations. In 2004, the book “Treatise on Angels” won the “Top Book” award and four diplomas at the international book fair “Green Wave”. This collection of poems and poems is compiled from materials published in various magazines from 2006 to 2019.
