About the book: 1991 / The novel by Evgeny Kutuzov is largely autobiographical. But still, these are not memoirs and not a biography itself. This is rather a biography of the generation to which the author belongs, a generation whose childhood and adolescence coincided with great and tragic upheavals in the history of our Fatherland. In a certain sense, we can talk about the “lost generation”, but the heroes of the novel are not busy searching for the truth, but searching for ways to survival, which lead - alas! - just the opposite - to physical and spiritual death.
