But in the giant shopping center he does not find a single living soul. Music is playing, escalators are running, golden French fries are crackling in the eateries. Louis decides to wait and settles in the shopping center. “Louis Wooton” is a young man’s diary about a world in which there are no people, but all things are safe and sound. This is a story about life in a simultaneously abundant and empty reality, where status no longer matters, love speaks the language of silicone, and birds circling in the sky count the days. From the first pages, the author masterfully draws the reader into the complex world of philosophy and psychology; the intrigue of what is happening remains until the end of the story. It is a witty, sometimes funny and always unexpected pleasure to immerse yourself in reading such a novel. In the novel competition announced by the Estonian Writers' Union, Armin Kömägi's work took a well-deserved first place. The book was published in the summer of 2015.
