About the book: year / The mutilated body of an 18-year-old girl is found in the car park near the pub where she was supposed to meet her boyfriend. Morse and Lewis find out that the girl was last seen alive at a bus stop, where she got into a red car, the license plate of which no one remembered. Everything in this crime is unsteady and unclear: motive, opportunity, witnesses, alibi... And this extremely irritates Inspector Morse.
