The work “Knightly Ethos and Its Varieties” is devoted to the consideration of the varieties and evolution of the knightly ethos, from antiquity to modern history. “Bourgeois Morality” thoroughly analyzes the formation and development of the norms and values ​​of bourgeois morality and the personal patterns of behavior inherent in it. In the course of considering historical types of morality, the author widely draws on material from fiction, journalism, memoirs, ethnographic and sociological research, which makes it possible to recommend the book not only to specialists in the history of ethics, but also to a wide range of readers.
