About the book: year / The simultaneous onset of climate change and the peak of global oil production pose unprecedented challenges for humanity. Global peak oil could shake, if not destroy, the foundations of the world's industrial economy and culture. Climate change may change the biosphere more radically than the last ice age. Each limits their effective responses to each other. In the process, I envision permaculture as a design system specifically evolving over the last 30 years to creatively respond to a future that requires less and less available energy.
