Its first part tells about the heroic defense of Sevastopol in 1941–1942, the second is about the harsh trials that befell Soviet prisoners of war, who, due to various circumstances, found themselves behind barbed wire. But even in captivity they continue to fight the hated enemy. Neither torture, nor cold and disease, nor enemy propaganda shook the faith of these people in victory. Having chosen a favorable moment, they raise an armed uprising.
