In 1911, Bennett wrote a short novel “Buried Alive”, where he told the reader about how an absurd accident not only completely changed the life of the main character, but also almost shook the centuries-old foundations of English society . The book was a great success and a year later it was filmed. Much later, in 1968, it was remembered on Broadway, where a musical was created based on it. Published in Russian for the first time.
