About the book: 2000 / The trilogy “Faces of the Saints from Jesus to Us” by the Russian writer and philosopher D.S. Merezhkovsky (1865–1941) included the books “Paul. Augustine" (1936), "Francis of Assisi" (1938) and "Joan of Arc" (1938), which is actually a continuation of his "Jesus the Unknown". In the new trilogy, the author again turned to his main theme, combining in one religious and philosophical work the centuries-old mystery of Christianity and modernity.
