About the book: 2021 / From the first pages of the novel, the main character does terrible things: in a drunken stupor she kills her husband, tortures her own daughter, engaging in prostitution and forcing the unfortunate man to do the same child, turns her into a disabled person, puts her on a chain along with a dog - and he does all these atrocities with the knowledge of neighbors and fellow villagers. It would seem that good is completely defeated by evil, and there is no one to defend childhood, no one to punish the villain. However, there is still a group of people who decide to save the child, free him from the clutches of his terrible mother. The trial, deprivation of parental rights, and the relocation of a disabled daughter to an orphanage seem to give hope for the victory of light over darkness. However, does the mother agree to stop and give up without a fight? Is she preparing a retaliatory blow to the “fighters for truth”? Doesn’t she finally have allies in Russian society who are capable of not only supporting her with deeds, but also ideologically justifying, justifying her actions and even making them, perhaps, new Good News? Who is the main villain here? A cruel and soulless mother? Or an ideologist justifying her crimes?
