About the book: 1977 / Documentary essays in this book tell about the participants in the famous “Road of Life”, which supplied food and everything necessary to the inhabitants of Leningrad during the fascist blockade. The heroes of the book are sailors, drivers, soldiers of construction units, repairmen, and port workers. Almost all of them are Komsomol members. The author met with fighters of the legendary Road, studied archival materials stored in the funds of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
