This series, in addition to this book, also includes the parts “The New Century Began on Monday, 2001 - 2007”, “Leap Year 2008” and the part “The Return of the Prodigal Son” already known to readers. And in this book, the author talks about the life of the main character of the work, the kind and cheerful Moscow snob Platon Petrovich Kochet, perhaps even a hero of the passing time, as well as his immediate circle, in our days, in the Year of the Ox, until February 14, 2010. The main character is an ordinary, extraordinary person who still believes that there is nothing funnier in life than a person with a serious, intelligent face; nothing is more important than children and parents, home and Motherland; nothing is more honorable than selfless service to them; nothing more disgusting than meanness and betrayal; etc. In this part of the novel, largely written based on specific events and from living persons, the beginning of a new storyline about the life and service of the main character’s eldest son in Argentina, which the author developed in the subsequent part of the novel.
