About the book: year / Russian mail - one of the oldest in Europe - originated in Kievan Rus. In the 16th century postal communication was organized with Poland, Lithuania, and Courland. In the 17th century Domestic and international postal communications were established, and by the end of the century Russian mail became regular. In the 80s of the XVIII century. a unified postal administration was created, which was named somewhat later as the Main Postal Administration.
