Forests, plains and cities are devoured by the hot equatorial desert, from which hordes of ruthless savages flee, sweeping away everything in their path. The only reminders of the former greatness of humanity are the huge Iron Castles, around which are decaying cities, where the only chance to earn money is to enlist in the next meat grinder arranged by the powers that be. Only a miracle can save this world. Or a monster created by him. The theme of the cover image and the illustration used in the book were suggested by the author.
