About the book: 2013 / In 2013, the first book of the Indian writer Christopher C. Doyle, “The Secret of the Mahabharata Secret,” was published. The action of the book takes place in modern India. A group of friends unravel the mysteries of an ancient Indian secret society, the legendary Brotherhood of Nine. Their search involves intelligence agencies and international terrorism. The story follows Vijay and his friends as they try to unravel a series of clues that will lead them to a devastating Mystery hidden by a brotherhood known as the Nine Men. Doyle initially began writing a story for his daughter, which gradually expanded into a book. The author was primarily inspired by the Indian epic Mahabharata, believing its events to be based on scientific fact. The book was followed by Doyle's second novel, The Quest for the Mahabharata: Alexander's Secret, which is the first book in a planned sequel trilogy. Doyle believes in the possibility of a secret history that was probably not written down in antiquity. During his research, he also came across the legends of King Ashoka and related the story to him. Upon its publication, The Secret of the Mahabharata was a commercial success, allowing the author to sign up for further thriller novels in the same vein. In 244 BC, the Indian Emperor Ashoka discovers a hilly cave with an amazing secret. Believing that this could destroy the world, he creates a secret brotherhood of Nine Men who will guard the contents of the cave for centuries. He also removed the Vimana Parva chapter of the Indian epic Mahabharata from his written transcripts. Currently, Vikram Singh, an Indian nuclear scientist, is killed in his fort at Jaungarh. Before he died, he sent four cryptic emails to his nephew Vijay, who, along with his business partner Colin, childhood friend Radha and her father, linguist Dr Shukla, began analyzing them. They are assisted by Bhim Singh, the current owner of the Rajvirgarh fort, and Greg White, an archaeologist mentioned in Vikram's emails. The group deduces that the emails refer to the Nine Men and their secret, which can be revealed using a metal disc, a key, a stone ball, and a riddle. Their mission is interrupted by a man named Farooq, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant. The group discovers that the metal disk and key together indicate the Edicts of Ashoka. They travel to Bayrat and find the Nine's hidden library, but Farouk and his men are imprisoned within themselves. The group finds an alternative route and a rock ball. Meanwhile, Intelligence Bureau (IB) official Imran Kidwai receives information about Farooq and begins an investigation. Vijay and his friends travel to the Barabar caves in Bihar after interpreting a clue in Bairat. Another such ball with inscriptions on it is excavated inside the caves. However, Farooq kidnaps Vijay and Radha. Imran suspects Bhim Singh and investigates in his basement, but he is caught. Bhim explains that the Vimana Parva from the Mahabharata spoke of an ancient arsenal that can be made invisible by covering them with an undisclosed element, which makes them fatal. This was what the Nine were trying to protect. Imran realizes that Bhim was in league with Farooq and was trying to reveal the secret location of the weapon. In the ensuing conflict, Bheem's attack on Imran backfires and he himself is killed. Farooq gave Vijay's friends 48 hours to unravel the meaning of the final clue in the ball. They reveal the final secret to end up in Hazaribagh, on top of a hill called Marang Buru. Farooq and his men escape with Vijay after learning of Imran's progress, leaving Radha behind. When the entire group reaches Marang Buru, it is revealed that Greg was actually an assassin hired by Farouk named Murphy, posing as the real Greg White. At Farooq's urging, Vijay and Colin enter the hill and through numerous rooms reach the Nine's secret vault. There they discover a giant
