About the book: 2001 / The publication offered to the reader is a historical and local history essay about the village of Akhmatovo and a new narrative dedicated to the Alatyr period of the life of the world-famous sculptor S. Erzya. The publication is based on information taken from previously published sources, materials from the Alatyr district municipal archive, the Akhmatov rural administration, the Akhmatov secondary school, memories of residents, personal archives. The book includes two chapters of Akhmatovo and Erzya in the Alatyr Prisurye. We hope that the book will arouse wide interest among researchers of the history of the Alatyr region and is intended for a wide range of readers.
