About the book: 1972 / This publication presents selected odes and poems. Early examples of Kapnist's poems (satires, odes) are associated with the traditions of classicism. From the mid-80s of the 18th century, intimate lyrics, close to sentimental poetry, began to predominate in his work, in which contentment with little, rural solitude, and innocent joys in the lap of nature were glorified.
