About the book: year / The operating principle of the device is simple: on the screen of the earth's surface survey locator, the bomber's navigator finds the target and turns on the sight, which receives from the sensors the altitude and flight speed of the aircraft in the form voltages at their inputs. Both are logarithmized on special amplifiers, then the first is divided in half on resistors (extracting the square root) and added to the second (multiplying the speed by the square root of the height) on an analog adder. The result of the addition is fed to the antilogarithmator, from which the lead signal is already removed. It mixes with the reflected signal from the radar receiver and on the radar screen in front of the navigator, against the background of the image of the earth's surface, a bright dot appears at the place where the bomb is expected to fall.
