About the book: 2010 / The biography of Vladimir Nabokov, written by Brian Boyd, is widely recognized as the most complete and reliable of all existing ones. The second volume covers the period from 1940 to 1977 - the years of life in America and Switzerland, where the writer’s life journey ended. The translation into Russian was carried out in collaboration with the author; in comparison with the English edition, changes and clarifications were made to the text. The new edition (2010) of the Biography contains clarifications and additions that reflect archival finds and publications that appeared during the period after the publication of the first Russian (2004) edition of this book.
