About the book: 1990 / The story "Fabiola" takes us to the era when Emperor Diocletian planned to put an end to Christianity once and for all. He began brutal persecution in the East, and soon the persecution spread to Rome, subject to his co-ruler Maximian. This happened just a few years before the victory of the Church, which challenged the powerful empire. The book contrasts two worlds - pagan Rome and the community of believers in Christ. The main character of the story is a young noble Roman woman, to whom the truth of the Gospel is gradually revealed, through long painful searches.
