About the book: year / About "Rat Race" A kind of continuation of the Rat Tower. This is not a “linear continuation”, where you pick up and start from where you left off last time. In essence, this is a new story, with new heroes - but who operate within the same time and territorial framework as the KB characters. Naturally, they overlap at times. Why is it “all over again”? Because for me – and for you too, for sure – what is more interesting is, firstly, the process of transition itself, as Oleg puts it, “to a new paradigm”, and the decisions made during this period are interesting; secondly, an interesting attempt to analyze the actions of the heroes in different conditions. The big city has already been passed, but what will things be like in the countryside? In a small regional center? With a small, tightly knit group, it’s already clear - what will happen to the “team”? What is it like for women? What will the opportunity to “start from scratch” mean for different characters?
