By and large, this is a book about love, but not only between a man and a woman, but about love for life, about love for people. Thirty-year-old Artem Sotnikov's family life is collapsing. One day he learns about his wife’s betrayal and the betrayal of a close friend. Having decided to take a break from the problems that have piled up for some time, Artem takes a vacation and goes to his uncle in the village where he was once born and raised. Having told his uncle about his difficulties, he unexpectedly encounters not support, but a critical look at his problems. Subsequent events force him to reconsider his views on life. The structure of the novel is constructed in such a way that one chapter contains the events of one day. At the same time, chapters in which different events happen to the main character, where he meets different people, alternate with chapters in which a variety of life issues are discussed.
