About the book: 2023 / Nellie draws a multi-colored rainbow seen outside the window. She is in a hurry to finish her work before her mother arrives and in her haste breaks the lead of her favorite red pencil. Nellie is looking for a sharpener, but it is nowhere to be seen. Ricci understands what is going on and begins to look for the missing item. He finds a sharpener under the bed and calls his owner with a loud bark. Nellie reaches for the sharpener and hears a strange hum from behind, which becomes louder and louder. She sees in front of her an ugly fly the size of a sparrow. Out of fear, Nellie runs away into another room. The fly calms her down and introduces himself as fairy Gordella. The fairy persuades the girl to look into her doll mirror to see her dream. The girl looks into the mirror, shrinks in size and realizes that the fairy is a witch who wants to harm her. Nellie jumps into the empty compartment of the pencil box, closes it and finds herself in the fabulous Colored Kingdoms, where she meets friends. They help Nellie pass Gordella's tests and return home..
