About the book: 2003 / To counter the “blitzkrieg” of German submarines off the east coast of America in 1942, the US Navy made a decision equip and deploy decoy ships to be used as bait for enemy submarines. The author of the book served on one of these ships. His story is based on personal experience and the results of painstaking research into sources related to this project.
