    About the book: 1966 / The author of this book - writer Alexander Aleksandrovich Sokolovsky - was 15 years old when the Great Patriotic War began. In the small town of Elabuga, on the Kama River, he began working: first on a collective farm as a tractor driver, then as a turner at a mechanical factory. In January 1943, A. Sokolovsky joined the army. He served in the infantry, in tank units, and then, until the end of the war, he was an employee of a military newspaper. It was there, in the newspaper, that his stories, essays and poems began to be published. Alexander Alexandrovich’s first book, “Novichok,” was dedicated to the life of the guys - our Soviet schoolchildren. It came out in 1955. From then on, the creative path of the young writer was determined - he began to write for children. But Alexander Alexandrovich did not give up his correspondent work. His essays, articles, stories were published in many newspapers and magazines. Often stories and essays by A. Sokolovsky were published in the magazine “Soviet Police”. On instructions from the editors, he traveled to many republics of our country. Trips and meetings with courageous people - police officers - helped him write this book.
